Titanium alloys

The main ingredient of titanium alloys is, as its name suggests, titanium. Alloy additives are mainly chrome, zirconium, molybdenum and oxygen, nitrogen and carbon.

Properties of titanium alloys

• are corrosion resistant especially to acids and salts
• have a similar low density as aluminum and
• have a high heat resistance

These alloys are very expensive compared to other alloys, so they are only used in areas with the highest demands, such as
